As a remote worker, you will need to use at least one
dedicated telephone line just to keep in touch with the office. Here are
some tips about phones.

on the box in front of the inaccurate tip and then click on the answer
button to see if you chose correctly.
A You
must have a separate phone line just to deal with unwanted callers who
call during
your work day.
B Determine with your manager how many phone lines you will need. This
should be based on
your likely level of
making and receiving telephone calls and maintaining dedicated lines for
other purposes. But
that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll need three phone lines.
C If
possible, have your calls forwarded from your office so that
your
remote work will
appear transparent. If that’s not possible, check for messages
regularly
and return calls
promptly.
D Carry
a pager or cell phone, if you’re going to be away from your phone and want your
manager and co-workers to feel
assured that you are accessible. Be sure that those key
contacts have your pager
or cell number.
