You'll need to plan
ahead to make sure you have the materials you'll need at home and that
you plan your work and any trips to the office to be as efficient as
possible. Here are some tips, all of which are
"correct."
Duringthe
previous week, plan the next week’s activities. Inventory any
supplies and resource materials you might need and order them in
a timely fashion
Develop the habit of maintaining a list of the
people or groups you plan to meet with on both scheduled and
spontaneous visits to the office. It is also valuable to develop
a plan for maintaining phone contacts so you stay in touch with
people.
Prioritize your remote work "to do" list. If you're
working at home you'll find many distractions that can make you
feel the morning or whole day seemed to fly by. Divide tasks
into those considered "Critical" (your "A"
list), "Important" (B) and "Useful" (C.)
Make sure you complete the "A" tasks before going on
to the "Bs" and save the "C's" for last.
